Powerplants Australia is a privately owned Horticultural Solutions Company that delivers high technology greenhouse production solutions for the fruit, vegetable, nursery, flower and forestry industries. We assist customers to increase productivity, and quality while reducing labour, water, fertilizer and energy usage in a sustainable way.

Due to growth we are looking for a new Sales Executive to help us design and deliver these systems and products to our customers based in QLD/NSW. Our customers range from small family businesses to large listed companies, so you may be selling one product or a whole complex project.
Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for;
- Working with existing clients and developing your own via various means (including some cold calling).
- Assisting with the preparation of Quotes (ultimately being responsible for your own quotes), presenting these to the client and following up until the sale is closed, then supplying comprehensive part lists to the project department for your client.
- Attending sales meetings and reporting progress to management
- Travelling interstate regularly (usually 3 day trips)
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Enthusiastic self-starter with a can do attitude who can meet deadlines.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Be able to work in a challenging environment.
- Excellent computer skills and high level of experience in MS Excel, Word and Outlook and Project. (Drawing packages such as Solidworks and CAD advantageous but not mandatory)
- Excellent listening & negotiating skills.
- Efficiency in written and verbal English – Dutch or Vietnamese is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Proficient in maths skills, calculating areas, volumes, costing and margin analysis
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems.
- Horticulture/Mechanical Engineering degree or extensive Horticultural experience with technical equipment.
- Must have a full drivers licence

We are also seeking a Controls Technician to join our team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for;
- Installing and maintaining Powerplants' products with the highest level of quality, efficiency, courtesy and professionalism.
- Designing, building, installing, and servicing control systems, water systems and other company products.
- Commission, maintain and service electrical and control systems.
- Become familiar with stock holding of parts and accessories.
- Support Powerplants' production team.
- Provide adequate customer training to Powerplants' standards.
- Provide maintenance and servicing to Powerplants' standards.
- Must have a full drivers licence
